I just read in Phillipians that we should be content with what we have. Ok, I wasn't reading the scriptures, but I did read it in a Church magazine. The Friend. Okay, this doesn't matter.
Here's my point: we have no good restaurants around Homewood, so we always default to New China Buffet. Should I/we be content with this?
Probably the better question is: am I spoiled?
The answer to both questions is "yes!"
I should be happy that the decision, when we go out to eat, is already made for me. And in fact, I do love NCB's beef and broccoli. And who doesn't like soft serve ice cream on a cone? And the stuff I don't like -- like bananas in red sauce -- I don't have to eat.
Finally, I actually get to eat. Ginger's acid reflux prevents her from eating a good meal; in the past, she could eat half her weight in broccoli and assorted vegetables.
So be grateful for what you have. And eat all you can eat ;o)
Ironically, there is no food to be seen in this photo.

I was so excited to see a post from "Good Times" in my Google Reader! Woo-hoo!
Well I would invite you to go eat NCB this weekend but since I've noticed I'm not in your friend circle anymore and I don't get picked to play v-ball on your team anymore I won't! I guess I'm not a good enough player anymore to be included in your roster!
Abby: you are a genius for having "Good Times" in your Google Reader. You are also the only genius I know that does this ;o)
Martha: the v-ball roster should always be you, Dave, Ginger and me!
