You have to read this article in Time Magazine called "Why Your DNA is Not Your Destiny."
Ever heard of Jean-Baptise LaMarck? He's the crazy guy who said giraffes grew longer necks because their ancestors had to stretch to reach nutrient-rich leaves.
Except for the fact that giraffes that elongated their necks couldn't have passed these genes to their offspring, right?
Wrong!
It turns out that what I do in this lifetime--for instance, eat too many White Castles and obesify--CAN impact my offspring. These mini Ken Lis could die an early death because of ME! What a way to be screwed.
And not only can this impact last one generation, this shortened lifespan can perpetuate. Not indefinitely mind you, but it's hard to slow down old momentum once it's started.
So what does this all mean? For one, being good to yourself means being good to the many generations that come after you. Two, being good to others can influence generations of OTHER people's offspring.
Talk about eternal consequences.

Wow can, so deep. You are such a deep thinker! LOL! Good thing I'm so nice, my future generations will thank me!
