Sucked in by Social Media

I admit it's a thrill to be "clicked through." I posted an article from AP on a Cornell-led initiative to start a "Facebook for Scientists" to my alma mater's LinkedIn News page -- see screenshot below.

In only a few days, the story was clicked through 129 times as measured by HootSuite.

I even received good feedback from the EVP of a conference recording company. In fact, the resource he sent me is the best I've found thus far on whether scientists use social media.

So for me, social media works.
