My dad turned me on to Tim Ferriss, author of the 4 Hour Workweek. You just can't beat working only 4 hours per week. As with most books, I got bogged down about 1/3 of the way in. Then my coach, Michael Smart, said Tim has a blog and it's the only one he reads. So I now read Tim's blog.
Tim's blog is chock full of "hacks" as Tim would like to say. One useful "hack" or "habit" is "The Power of Less." This is particularly applicable for powering through New Year's resolutions. Actually, just one resolution, as you'll see.
Some tips from The Power of Less post on Tim's blog:
+Do only one goal per month
+Make the goal as easy as possible
+Do it consistently
+Report on it daily
+Make it known to everyone
So here is our goal based on The Power of Less:
+Read 5 minutes of scripture
+Daily at 9 p.m. (with Ginger)
+Report to Ginger
+Make it known on this blog
I encourage everyone (meaning my family, Bethany, Jean Porritt and Amber -- the people who seem to read this blog) to read The Power of Less and see if you can't make a difference in your life.
