The Last Egg

Memorial Day morning, Aidan said to me (dad): "I want to make puppets. I'll need construction paper, glue and Popsicle sticks."

Wow, there's no denying that type of determination.

We cut out characters (representing our family members), props and stage and wrote a script.

The result was a play called "The Last Egg" about a certain family who ate 15 of 16 deviled eggs and the debate about who would get to eat the last egg.

Here are the last lines of the script:

Narrator: Mommy put the eggs in the refrigerator. The next day, it was gone. Who ate it?
Daddy: Aidan, did you fangpi?
Aidan: Yes.
Daddy: Why does your fangpi smell like deviled eggs?
Aidan: Because I ate the last one.
